Communications

Although young people attending college are now 16+ we still recognise the enormous contribution parents / carers can make in supporting them to achieve their highest potential.

While at college we stress the 3 way partnership between the young person, the college and the parents/ carers.

We like to keep parents / carers informed about students’ progress at all times. There will be two consultation events when you are invited to discuss academic progress with subject teachers. These are normally held around the first half term in October/November and at the end of January following the mock exams.

We give access to the student markbook, attendance and more via Proportal.

We have a communication app called Weduc which allows messaging and more.

Proportal

ProPortal lets you view:

  • Contact details we have on our data base for the student and parent/carer. If they are incorrect you can contact us at collegeservices.ke6n.ac.uk to update them.
  • Markbook information including Student Progress Grades and CORE Skills assessments
  • Attendance
  • Timetable
  • Exam Timetable
  • Comments
  • Meeting Notes

Parents/Carers will be sent login information in the first term.
