New Scholarship partnership announced with KE6 and Nuneaton Borough FC

Nuneaton Borough are delighted to announce a new scholarship partnership with King Edward VI College.

We are proud to announce our latest partnership with King Edward VI College, Nuneaton. This is brand-new scholarship programme named ‘Nuneaton Borough Football Academy’ partnered with KE6, providing the training to develop as players & the education to further individuals their successes.

Students will be able to combine their love of football with the wide academic/vocational programmes offered at KE6 giving students the best chance of a successful career, on or off the football pitch.

Speaking on our new partnership, Stuart Noss Principal of King Edward VI College said “We are delighted to announce this important partnership between two Nuneaton organisations – both with rich histories in Sport. This brings together the best of the education and football worlds, with the strong supportive learning environment offered at KE6”.

“The introduction of the academy very much further strengths the college’s reputation for providing high quality courses meeting the needs of the young people of Nuneaton and beyond.”

KE6 will offer a unique tailored academy programme, working in partnership with Nuneaton Borough Football Club aimed toward the age of 16-21, including Level 2, Level 3 and Degree Level provision. The courses will be full-time across 2-years, providing students the opportunity to study Sport, whilst gaining the practical experience of playing and/or coaching. With dedicated teaching staff who will support the students in gaining confidence and self-belief to give their maximum effort in achieving their dreams and aspirations.

Nuneaton Borough Chairman, Jason Dean spoke about his delight of club’s latest announcement “This partnership has been blossoming since we got involved with KE6 back in May 2019. Our willingness to work together has been first class and we’re pleased to arrive at a place where we see benefit for the local community and Nuneaton as a town”.

“The vision that (Principal) Stuart Noss has proposed to us, is aligned with our vision for the future generation of students in and around the local area. With the potential of our exclusive partnership moving forward together. In return, benefiting both parties but most importantly the wider community and the opportunities this will present to those enrolled in the programme.”

Places on the course will be subject to a football/coaching assessment and an academic interview.

The next KE6 Open Event is Wednesday 30th March 2022, booking is required. Applications for September 2022 are still being taken.
