Term time 10 hours per week (2 hours per day)
available hours are 3.30pm – 5.30pm
Pay: £5,764.00 per year
Job purpose:
To provide a cleaning service within the Buildings that form part of King Edward VI College, Nuneaton and our newly acquired town centre location.
Accountable to:
The post holder will be responsible to the Site Manager in the first instance.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
To ensure that the allocated work area is cleaned in accordance with the standards laid out within the College’s cleaning specification, which are reviewed on a regular basis.
To seek advice from the Site Manager in the interpretation of the College’s cleaning specification
To act upon the guidance of the Site Manager when the need arises to change from the regular work pattern
In agreement with the Site Manager to arrange appropriate holiday cleaning programmes
To ensure safe and effective use and storage of all equipment. Being aware of the College’s regulations regarding items such as Health & Safety at Work and COSHH guidelines
To draw the attention of the appropriate authorities via the Site Manager to any problems that occur which may affect the safety or security of the College or its users
To show a degree of flexibility to provide cover for absent colleagues and to cater for any emergencies which may occur during the day requiring a change of cleaning routine
To carry out the responsible instruction of the Site Manager, seeking guidance from the Site Manager and/or Associate Principal, Corporate Services in the event of a disagreement on the interpretation of these instructions
