Introducing the new face and new future of King Edward VI College

King Edward VI College is delighted to announce a new brand identity that reflects a modern college, one that is fully inclusive and open to all, that is working hard to help transform the lives of those young people who study with us.

To create a dynamic visual, the new logo marque ‘KE6’ pays homage to the college’s past as a grammar school and its deep roots in Nuneaton, whilst the new colours and fonts are designed to present a modern look that supports the college’s vision to be a leading sixth form provider for the region. As a proud member of the Coventry University sponsored Better Futures Multi Academy Trust, the new brand was always intended to reflect this positive step for the college.

The new identity comes at an incredibly exciting time for the college, following the appointment of a new Principal with a powerful vision to develop the college as an outstanding 21st century education provider, who can act as a catalyst for success for those in Nuneaton and beyond. Following his appointment in 2020, the new Principal, Stuart Noss, early on identified a desire to develop a new college identity that built on the rich history of the college, which was first established as a school in 1552, whilst looking forward to an exciting future.

The re-brand is part of a wider college reimagination and the evolution of longer term strategic plans for curriculum development, estate refurbishment and to meet the needs of a growing town. The first development projects are now complete, with new external signage for the college and the creation of a unique eSports Lab teaching and gaming space and we are looking forward to launching our new website and Estate Development Plan this autumn.

As we head towards our 50th anniversary as a sixth form college (in 2024) the future looks extremely exciting and we look forward to sharing our exciting developments as they happen in due course.
