Why study Uniformed Protective Services (Level 2)?
This course focuses on developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required in preparation to study Uniformed Protective Services at Level 3. Students will explore different roles within the armed forces and other protective services, such as the police and fire service. Students will learn about the importance of teamwork, leadership and communication within the Uniformed Protective Services, as well as taking part in practical aspects such as outdoor and adventurous activities and single-day expeditions.
Who should apply?
This course is for students who have an interest in finding out about careers within the Uniformed Protective Services and learning more the role they play within society. Students considering studying UPS at Level 3 will find this course useful to help build some of the basic knowledge that will give them an advantage upon progression.
Students who successfully pass this course will be able to progress onto the Level 3 Extended Certificate in Uniformed Protective Services. They may also feel better equipped to make choices relating to careers in the different services. The teamwork, leadership and communication skills developed as part of the course will be applicable to any future careers.
