Previously worked in the Police as a Detective Inspector and retired after 30 years service. I love my dogs and taking them for walks. I also enjoy watching reality TV.

A background in music and film studies before starting a career in education. Since joining KE6 I have developed a passion for pastoral support and student development. Trained in mental health first aid, a restorative practice facilitator and a safeguarding officer. Also, one of the college leaders on student leadership working closely with KE6Unity and the Student Rep team.

I’ve been part of the KE6 team for just over a year, bringing seven years of experience working in an SEN school. I love building great relationships with students, boosting their confidence, and making sure they leave college ready to take on whatever comes next—armed with knowledge, skills, and maybe a few bad jokes along the way!

Passionate about empowering young people, I bring a strong background in mentoring, guidance, and educational support. With a deep commitment to fostering growth and confidence, I work to inspire positive change in all of my students. Dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for every individual.

My favourite part of this role is supporting students in overcoming challenges, and I hope my tutees know that I’m there for them.
I’m also the Curriculum Co-ordinator for the Progress Team and enjoy coming up with fun new activities for our sessions.

With experience in the classroom, I have developed a strong understanding of the challenges students face, both academically and personally. I’ve been married to Danny (37 years) and have a cat, Emily. I have a background in theatre, film, careers coaching, recruitment and administration.
My hobbies are cooking, baking and gardening. I’ve lived in 2 other countries and travelled a lot over the past 30 years. I love experiencing all sorts of cultures, meeting different kinds of people and experiencing different types of food, arts and cultural expression.

Having been at the College for nearly 15 years, I have breadth of experience that I can bring to support, guide, coach and encourage our young people. I enjoy making friends with our students, listen and help when it’s needed, reassure and inspire, but generally having a good chat about everything that’s going on in their world!
