Open Events

Attending an Open Event is the best way to find out more about the college and the courses on offer. It can help you make an informed decision about the right course for you, particularly if you are unsure of which direction to take after school. With staff from across the college all available to answer your questions in one place, it’s an ideal time to find out everything you need to know. From course selection to transport options, we’re here to support you through the application and enrolment process.

If you are a Year 10 or 11 student, it’s a great opportunity to take a good look around the campus. You can talk to staff and students about the subjects that interest you, and find out about all the opportunities available to you at King Edward VI College.

  • Thursday 21st November 2019 – 3:30pm-8:00pm
  • Saturday 23rd November 2019 – 9:30am-12:30pm
  • Wednesday 1st April 2020 – 5:30pm & 6:30pm

Parking

Parking is very limited on campus however there are two local car parks within walking distance of the college. Sainsbury’s have kindly offered the use of their car park free of charge for a maximum of two hours, number place recognition is in place.

  • Sainsbury’s – CV11 4XS

What to expect

When you arrive at the college, head to the main entrance where staff will be on hand to give you information containing everything you need for the evening. Student ambassadors are on hand to show you the way, so don’t worry about getting lost. You’ll be able to visit all of our subject areas on the night. We recommend you attend one our introductory presentations preferably before you seek out the subject areas.

  • Ask Questions – Talk to current staff about the subjects you are interested in and find out where they could take you after college.
  • Access Careers Advice – Speak to our careers team and visitors from Universities regarding future career prospects.
  • Get Involved – Find out about our LinC activities and how they will complement your programme.
  • Meet our Students – Chat to our student ambassadors about college life and what they like about studying here at KEC.
