Spotlight Awards – Celebrating the success and achievements of our students

On Thursday 8th February the annual Spotlight Awards were held at the prestigious Abbey Theatre. It was chance for the college to celebrate the wonderful academic and personal achievements of its talented students. Awards were presented to those who have dedicated their time to volunteering within the community, to those who have demonstrated personal academic achievement in all subjects, and to those who have shown perseverance and resilience in challenging circumstances. It was also an evening of vibrant and moving entertainment, including powerful original dance performances from second year dancers, to a haunting theatrical piece performed by first year drama inspired by the Gothic tale ‘Sweeney Todd’. We were also moved by four theatrical monologues, and we were thoroughly enthralled by a multitude of enchanting and engaging musical performances. A truly wonderful evening of celebration.
