A Level Art & Photography students visit New York

The fourth King Edward College trip to New York in recent years, this one comprised of First Year and Second Year Art & Photography students and Third Year Art Foundation Students. The primary purpose of the visit was to gather resources for Art and Photography final exams and end-of-year show but the experience provided those attending with more than creative inspiration but also a huge boost to their confidence and self-belief. To be able to negotiate the city of New York independently is huge challenge in itself. From exploring Brooklyn and China Town, to Soho and the East Village, from Central Park down to Times Square and the South of Manhattan. The benefit to the students is phenomenal and we can see it coming through in their work since they’ve returned. I’m sure that there will be further excursions to the Big Apple in the future.
