King Edward VI Sixth Form College (KE6) is proud to announce another year of improved results, reinforcing our position as one of the region’s most successful and ambitious post‑16 providers.
This year, KE6 achieved a 4% increase in achievement rates, meaning more students than ever are completing their full two‑year programmes and successfully passing their courses. In addition, 10 subjects secured a 100% pass rate, and over 500 high grades awarded ( A* A, B, Distinction* or Distinction), reflecting the exceptional dedication of both students and staff.
Our learners continue to progress to some of the UK’s most prestigious universities, including the University of Warwick, University of York, University of Sheffield, University of Nottingham, University of Birmingham, University of Bristol, University of Liverpool, Cardiff University, University of Durham, University of Manchester, University of Newcastle, University College London and the University of Cambridge.
We would like to recognise the hard work and dedication of all our students. In particular, we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of individual students whose results reflect their commitment, determination and ambition.
Bethan Parsons achieved – A*A*A* Grades in Biology, Mathematics & Physics
Iman Bousfiha achieved – A* in Art & Design, A* in Psychology and an A in Media Studies
Evie Mellor achieved – A* in Physics, A in Maths and an A in Chemistry
James Wilkes achieved – A* in Psychology, A in Physics and an A Mathematics
Will Browning achieved – A* in Politics, A* Extended Project, A in Mathematics and History
Mabel Warne achieved – A* A* A*in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics
Leah Marcellin achieved – A* in Psychology and a Distinction in Health & Social Care. Leah also added ‘The college has been so supportive and that it has been such a nice journey studying at KE6!’
KE6 is also outperforming national averages when it comes to success at university. A significantly higher proportion of our former students achieve First Class and Upper Second Class (2:1) degrees compared with national benchmarks, demonstrating the long‑term impact of a KE6 education.
