Why study Health & Social Care (Level 2)?
The Route 2 course in Health & Social Care, allows you to fully engage in a broad range of knowledge in Health & Social care in preparation for study at level 3. You will be supported and fully equipped with the foundation knowledge, to confidently study Health & Social Care at Level 3.
Who should apply?
The course is designed for students who are interested in learning about Health & Social care and may also wish to study the subject as an AAQ the following year. This option is likely to be taken by those students who wish to pursue a career in the Health or Social Care or Childcare arena.
This course will give you the basic knowledge to equip you with the foundation knowledge for the Pearson BTEC AAQ and is designed to be taken as part of a programme of study that includes GCSE retakes and other subjects at Level 2. The course will foster links with employability for those students who may be less academically driven or those who seek apprenticeship type futures and not higher education.
