At KE6, we encourage you to become more independent as you move onto the next stage of your life. Even so, everyone needs help and support in their life, there are plenty of people to provide this in college.

Our Unity Hub is a welcoming space where any student can drop in to access information, engage in activities or socialise with other students. We support students with a range of additional support requirements, including students with Education & Health care plans and young carers.


Surrounding you with support

  • Wellbeing Support – you will have a Progress Coach who provides support with everyday life during college, including your studies and preparation for the future.
  • Careers Support – The Careers and Employability Team are here to support students develop their employability skills and explore career ideas for the future. You can drop into the careers area in the study centre or make an appointment.
  • Support in your subjects – teachers can provide you with individual and targeted support both in lessons and at other times in the college day.
  • Personal Study Support – drop into our Study Centre or Library for personal advice and guidance. These areas provide a quiet space for you to work on your own with computers and resources to support your study.
  • Specialist Support – the specialist staff based in the Unity Hub offer tailored support if your circumstances mean that you need extra help to manage life at college. This area also offers a space for personal study.
  • Financial Support – the college offers financial support in the form of the Discretionary Bursary.  

Financial Support

The college offers financial support in the form of the Discretionary Bursary. You may qualify for a Discretionary Bursary if your household income is less than £27,500 p.a.
